After leaving the poll running for a few days, Bondhay came out the clear first choice, so i will be contacting them this week to book the course up.

Sunset in late April is around 8:20pm, so if i can book the tee time for 12:00, that will allow plenty of time for Ged to get his team over, who are looking at  between 20 and 25 players from their side.

Looking at the 2 following dates for the game, due to Easter weekend, then Golfshakes North verses South:

Saturday 17th April and Saturday 24th April 2010.

There will be a deposit of £30 required. This deposit will be split between both venues. So a no show at either venue could cost you £15, if we cannot fill the numbers up the location is booked for.

Ged will be confirming the location and date of the return venue in the near future, but it will be a weekend in September.

Initially, we are looking for those that will play in both events signing up. If we are short with a month to go, me and Ged will open it up for those only playing in one of the events, but there will be a different prize for them doing so and their scores will not count towards the matchplay team total.

With 3 months notice to the first event, i would like to think we can get at least 25 from CGL taking part.

Allan,

Why Saturday's ? I am sure most people would prefer a Sunday. That way it doesn't interfere with those members who are club members and have club comps on a saturday.

Halewood wanted a Saturday, so they could travel over in the morning, play golf, stay over for the night then travel back on Sunday, rahter than playing Sunday, getting home really late Sunday night before going to work on Monday morning.

We have to leave our homes every morning at the same time so the neighbours think we have regular jobs.

I'm quite happy with a Saturday, especially if there's a long way to travel.  Plus the fact we don't really want half of our team on a bender the night before we play (mentioning no names Mr Spencer!).  Or is that part of your masterplan Ged?

I play better after being on a on bender the night before.....

Anyway, Malc's the one you need to watch, he comes from behind better than Tiger Woods!
