Sandhill Golf course was built in 1992 and has now reached full maturity. We continue to provide a high standard of maintenance to produce a course both rewarding and challenging to the club golfer. The course is 6309 yards long PAR 71 for the gentlemen and 5620 yards long PAR 73 for the ladies.
The Clubhouse compliments the course and serves a wide range of drinks and meals through most days. Meals are available Thursdays, Saturdays and Sunday Lunch or by prior arrangement. The clubhouse facilities include changing rooms and showers. The course and Clubhouse are owned by Sandhill Golf Club Ltd.
Course Facilities:
Driving range, Putting Green.
Event 2 and our first visit to Sandhill Golf Club near Barnsley. Sandhill is a kind and hard golf course at the same time! You can get to the greens but when they are fast, they reveal lots and lots of unseen movement. Sandhill has some very nice holes, the 16th and 17th are definite birdie chances!
First tee time is 10:30; meet an hour before for bacon rolls, coffee and banter!

Sandhill's policy
Sandhill's policy (highlighted on letter sent to me) is to always charge for any non-attendance (golf and food) once numbers are confirmed and they ask for numbers to be confirmed 1 week before the event.
Bearing the above in mind could i please ask you all to register if you intend to play Sandhill as soon as possible please?

Thanks for organising Neil and well done on your victory. It was a good and fair course which I'd play again. Thanks to my playing partners Rich (well played Rich) Andy (trolley challenged) Adams and Rich Norton (apologies for the club abuse and odd blue word when the yips returned). Thanks also to Paul for the lift (well played Paul). The W. Yorks lads did well picking up 2nd & 3rd, I was the only one in the car going home with zilch.
See you all at Sitwell though I hope to get a game in with James and Andy @ Shirland before then.
