The CGL Gold Cup at Springwater Golf Club

We are off down Nottingham way to Springwater Golf Club as part of our Summer League 2013 tour for The CGL Gold Cup. This course is a really nice track with quite a few good Par 3's and a memorable Par 4 with a narrow fairway thats all downhill to a platformed green that you really do not want to shoot through!

Mike Hood as thrown down the gauntlet for a re-match with his lot from over the Moors.

We have accepted the challenge and we will be playing at Bradley Hall Golf Club in Halifax.
Mike as got a tour up and running ready for this summer and should be able to put together 14 and so can we.
For our places we will be having a qualifying event which will be at our final Winter League event event and first Summer League event at Gainsborough.

So the top 14 on the day at Gainsborough will have first shout at the 14 places on the team.
Captain\: We thought it would be different to let someone else pick the playing order and liaise with Mike on the day so the 14 that qualify will all have a say in who out of them should be Captain.

Sign Up's are not enabled for this event due to the 14 players being selected from the Gainsborough qualifier.

The 2013 CGL Open will take place on Sunday 11th August at Leeds Golf Centre and will consist of 30 holes of golf.
In the morning\, we will play the 12 hole par 3 course off a reduced handicap\, starting at 11\:00
After Coffee and Bacon Rolls\, we will play the main course off full handicaps at 13\:00

Player of the Year Invitational 2013 at New Mills Golf Club\, Derbyshire

New Mills Golf Club in Derbyshire is the closing venue for our Summer League 2013 Tour. We will be having a meal afterwards to present the prizes for the Player of the Year Invitational 2013 winners and also the CGL Summer League Winners.

Player of the Year Invitational 2013 offers the last chance to win 100 Order of Merit points towards the Summer League 2013. This event is a 10\:30 first tee time at a course that many of us have not played before in Derbyshire in the hills. If the wind blows it should make quite an impact for the players hunting vital Order of Merit points.

I would like to invite you and your respective gladiators/society to the 2nd \;Annual Society Golf Challenge 2013 to be held at Moor Allerton Golf Club on Friday the 4th of October.
Moor Allerton will be hosting a Europro Tour event in 2013 so you will literally be able to follow in the footsteps of up and coming young professionals and is currently in the UK top 100 courses – www.magc.co.uk
We have made a few adjustments to last year’s event\, not least we are looking to increase the field to six societies from the four in 2012 and teams of 10 not 12.
We have been afforded a two tee start at Moor Allerton\, meaning the full field (60 golfers) will be all teed off inside one hour from the yellow tees!

10\:00 - 11\:00 Tee off from tees 1 and 10.
