After the success of the opening round of the Matchplay last year played on one day Neil Beech and Stu Laws have booked Hickleton Golf Club for the opening round this year.

You will need to register your interest to play before Saturday 28th April (Moor Allerton) as that is where the first round draw will be made. Just like last year if you are unable to attend the first round you will need to complete your match before the Hickleton games.

To keep us on track, just like last years competition games will need to completed by the dates given on the draw page.

The first tee is 14:30 please arrive an hour before for the coffee, bacon rolls and banter.

Looks like it's back to Chapel En Le Frith to defend our title against our friends from Merseyside.

This course is quite fair and last years event was a lot closer than it initially looked at first with alot of the early games going for CGL and the majority of the latter games going for NWGS.

Again, it's the same format 20 players each with each player competing for 1 point.

10.5 points and above gives us the win, again. 10 points secures the draw and the trophy stays with us but beware the scousers will have plenty of time to practise given the lack of extra european games by Liverpool and Everton and the obvious allergy to work!
