This will be the final planned event to finish the summer league off. Currently booked for 30 players, with the presentation evening planned afterwards, to award the following prizes:
1. Prizes on the day
2. Top three of the Summer League 2010
General round up of the season.
If you have not played here before, its worth a visit, but watch out for the 6th hole, a true risk / reward hole!
Thanks to Neil Beech and Chris Brannon for organising this event, mind you, its their home club, so expect them to feature on the day, alongwith Stuart Laws and Richard Cockerham, who also seem to score well on this course.
Registration Details
Please meet upstairs in the club house from 10.45am When Bacon Rolls & Coffee will be served.
Registration will close at 11.15 as I am playing in the first group and will need to be on the first tee no later than 11.45.
£30 + £3 for the day, it would be very helpful if you have the correct change.
Cheers.
Chris.
Bonus Points & Longest Drive
Hole 2: Longest Drive
A dead straight sub 400 yard par 4..........with water all down the left, out of bounds right and bunkers to catch the longer hitters. Ball must be on the fairway or green to count.
Hole 17: Nearest the pin (Bonus point available)
One of the signature holes, a very short par 3 over water. Often played into a prevailing wind catches many out with club selection. Ball must be on the green to count.
Hole 18: Nearest the pin in 2 (Bonus point available)
What should always be a straight away simple par 4 often seems to wreck a decent round. Trees down both sides shouldn't play a part (but often do!), the only protection this hole has is some greenside bunkers. Ball must be on the green to count.
So with 2 bonus points available on the last two holes it should make for an entertaining end to the summer league.
